Artists have captured and magnified objects in their daily lives for a very long time. If I squint and frame what’s in front of me, I see painting compositions: in the corner of a room, on a kitchen counter or a dining room table. It can be anywhere. Strolling through markets, I gorge on a plethora of delights; voluptuous creatures nestled together by colour; little populations of mirth bursting with gaiety and pride, orgy-like, calling out to me.
